Baby Lottie / Seattle Newborn Photographer

One of my favorite newborn sessions! Lottie is the third girl for this sweet family, and I’ve had the honor of capturing baby photos for her big sisters. We shot at their new home in Bryant, with a focus on snuggly, candid, and natural photos. I gently pose so clients know what to do, but avoid anything forced or cheesy. We got photos of baby alone, with different outfits, toes and fingers, baby with siblings, mom and baby, dad and baby, and lots of family photos.

I’ll often end the session with some family photos outside. I think it’s a nice memory to capture a group portrait in front of the family home.

My newborn sessions run between 45 and 90 minutes (depending on how often baby needs to nurse/eat) and can be held in my studio in downtown Seattle, or at your home. In the Winter months, homes can be darker (especially if they’re at the bottom of a hill or surrounded by tall trees), so studio is advised if you’re worried about light. This client’s home had lots of windows and upstairs light, white walls and linens, which made it an ideal setting for baby’s first photos.
